Pediatric Research Journal – Aims and scope
Pediatric Research publishes original research papers, invited reviews, and commentaries on the etiologies of diseases of children and disorders of development, extending from molecular biology to epidemiology. Use of model organisms and in vitro techniques relevant to developmental biology and medicine, as well as translational studies, are also acceptable.

Editor-in-Chief Cynthia Bearer, MD, PhD, is a Mary Gray Cobey Professor of Neonatology; Associate Chair of Research; and Chief, Division of Neonatology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Her basic research interests include the impact of environmental and other toxicants on neurodevelopment, particularly lipid rafts, cell signaling, and their role in neuronal plasticity. Her clinical research interests include biomarkers of environmental and in utero exposures, and the impact of the neonatal intensive care unit on neurodevelopment.

Associate-Editor-in-Chief Eleanor Molloy, MB, PhD, is Professor and Chair of Paediatrics & Child Health; and Head of Discipline of Paediatrics & Child Health at Trinity College Dublin, the University of Dublin, Trinity Centre for Health Sciences in Dublin, Ireland. Her research is concerned with interdisciplinary child health research and the promotion of pediatric translational projects to improve child health. Specifically, she is interested in the evaluation and modulation of systemic inflammation in newborn infants with brain injury and the development of neonatal palliative care.
